ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE - WHO WAS THE OLDEST PERSON TO HAVE LIVED ON EARTH?

CHILDREN'S CHURCH

Each Saturday at 5.30 pm and Sunday at 10.00 am during school term time only..

Children's Church was established in the Parish around 10 years ago. At the beginning of Mass, Father asks the children to come to the front of the church and after a short greeting we go into the Jubilee room. First we look at the new prayers in the prayer basket, and ask God to bless all the people concerned in these prayers. We then have a short lesson, closely linked, (if possible) to the Gospel of the day. If the Gospel is a little difficult for the children to understand, we have other resources which we adapt to their needs in growing in God's love.

The children then have a picture to colour, or something to make which they can take home as a reminder of the story we have covered that day. If the children attending are very young, their parents are welcome to come into the Jubilee room with them until they are more independent.

The children return to the main body of the church after the Bidding prayers, so that they learn to follow the main part of the Mass.
